Kuya Kim Atienza recently lambasted bashers and alleged “trolls” who criticized his social media post that includes the ABS-CBN’s tagline, “In the service of the Filipino”.
KAMI learned that the Kapamilya television host took to Instagram to promote his home network migrating to digital space.
“Tuloy ang serbisyo. Baka dito talaga papunta ang telebisyon, nauna lang kami dahil sa mga nangyari. Praise God, Lahat may dahilan!” he wrote.
However, his post received backlash from netizens who support the ABS-CBN shutdown.
Kuya Kim, on the other hand, noticed that most of these bashers use the words “oligarch” and “oligarchy” in their arguments.
"Pare pareho ang assignment ng mga troll.”
One netizen also said, “Troll di sang-ayon sa inyo no? If your network is for the service of the Filipino, can you share a documentary about high cost of electricity and water? Wala dba, puro drama lang?”
“Unfollow. In the service of the oligarchs,” another basher added.
Kuya Kim then responded, “Please do.”
The basher replied, “Yup. Death to ABS-CBN celebrity Oligarchy.”
The TV host again slammed him by saying, “Celebrity oligarchy? bago yun ah. please define?”
According to the Cambridge dictionary, oligarchy is a government in which power is held by a small group of people.
