With her astounding Albert Andrada green gown, Maribel owned the red carpet asserting everyone that she still has it. Her photos have surfaced online and have immediately gone viral.
The award-winning actress has shared her opinions on becoming a viral sensation. She first apologized for stealing the “spotlight”: “I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to my director Brillante Mendoza and the lead actress Jaclyn Jose that there was no intention on my part to be a scene stealer and take the spotlight away from them. It was just being me.”
Maribel Lopez has received numerous positive remarks from friends and followers via text and online messages. She also said that seeing #BeLikeMaria trend was “Overwhelming! And I’m humbled by this experience.”
When asked about why she looked distant from the other actors during the red carpet, she answered that it wasn’t because she wanted to stand out: “That's the reason for the 'space' that I created between me and the rest of the actors. As they say inside the Paris metro, 'Please mind the gap.' My gown was being stepped upon and if you can only see how dirty it is on the tail.”
