Senator Risa Hontiveros was inside Quiapo Church, attending mass when the controversial seizure of protest materials transpired.

A video, which has already gone viral, showed two policemen forcefully confiscating the protest materials while the mass was ongoing.

After the incident, the senator talked with Manila Police District Director Rolando Miranda.

The video of the lady senator discussing the incident with Miranda has gone viral and was mostly shared by netizens with their own comments on the video.

In a separate post, Senator Risa Hontiveros also mentioned her conversation with the police officer. She captioned it with:

"Kinausap ko ang pulis pagkatapos ng Misa. Walang rally na naganap. Misa lang. Hindi katanggap-tanggap ang karahasan na ito, lalo na sa gitna ng sakramento.

NCRPO Chief Gen. Debold Sinas became controversial when he had his birthday celebration, which he referred to as "mañanita" during the ECQ. More than 40 people gathered in one place at the time, which was supposedly prohibited.
