President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 27, 2020.

KAMI learned that several local celebrities and personalities shared their thoughts about the SONA on social media.

In a tweet, singer-comedienne K Brosas did not hold back when she made a joke about the SONA of President Duterte.

“May joke ako about SA sona.. kaso wag na Lang pala kc walang kwenta,” she wrote on Twitter.

Actress Jennylyn Mercado also made a statement about the SONA. She mentioned that the government’s role is to help promote the welfare of the country. The actress added that frontliners should be honoured for their service to all Filipinos.

Meanwhile, actress Agot Isidro also made a strong comment about the SONA.

“ang SONA na walang sustansya. Ktnxbye,” she said.

Actor Vance Larena also said that the President’s speech was the “worst.”

“Took several hours to process any logic and emotions after that important speech, still the worst,” he said.

Other celebrities and personalities like Robi Domingo, Bianca Gonzalez, Cess Drilon, and Quark Henares also gave their opinions regarding the SONA.

President Rodrigo Duterte faced the nation once again at the Batasan Pambansa on Monday. He made his speech in front of limited lawmakers and Cabinet members.

In his speech, the President talked about many topics including the COVID-19 crisis, the West Philippine Sea, and government speech.

Earlier, Vice President Leni Robredo admitted that she was not invited to physically attend the SONA at the Batasan Pambansa.
