Maja Salvador was not able to earn a degree, primarily because she was the breadwinner of her family.

However, the Kapamilya actress is very proud that she was able to support the education of her siblings until they finish college and now they have their own jobs.

The actress only had one goal when she joined showbiz, and that is to help provide for her family.

This was the admission of the 31-year-old actress during an interview with Toni Gonzaga in "I Feel U."

"Siyempre bata ka pa lang, nakikita mo na lahat ng nangyayari sa family mo. 'Yung mommy ko nagtatrabaho abroad, tapos ako palipat-lipat ako ng bahay sa mga kapatid niya para alagaan ako. Doon nag-umpisa akong mangarap hindi lang para sa akin kung 'di para sa pamilya ko."

She also stated that they did not have a house and when her mom came home and took her from her aunts, they lived in Manila, and this time around, they lived with her mother's cousins.

"Nung nagkaroon ng oportunidad, in-embrace natin kaagad 'yun, hindi natin pinakawalan. Ibinigay natin ng 1,000 percent, ng buong buo para magawa ng maayos 'yung trabaho mo. Siyempre pagdadasal para lagi tayong tulungan ni God.
"Para kang naging nanay ng maaga. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral 'yung kapatid ko. May kanya-kanya ng trabaho. Hindi man ako nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral pero nai-share ko 'yung lahat, 'yung pagod at paghihirap ko nagbunga ng maganda sa mga kapatid ko."
