- The actor also admitted that the pandemic and the shutdown of ABS-CBN were among the biggest factors to the woes that celebrities are undergoing
JC de Vera accepted the offer from Borracho Films, the film outfit of Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, to star in "Escape from Mamasapano."
In a Zoom conference with JC and Aljur, along with Atty. Topacio, the actor revealed that among his primary considerations when he decided to do the film was the "bayarin." Basically, they have bills to pay, monthly amortizations to pay, and the worry over his family.
"Siguro malaking factor yung nagwo-worry na rin yung pamilya ko sa anong ibabayad sa kuryente, sa tubig, sa mga monthly amortization," said the actor.
He also pointed out the pandemic and the untimely closure of ABS-CBN, which "nagpatung-patong talaga."
"It just so happens na dumating itong pandemic and sumabay pa yung pag-close ng ABS-CBN, so nagpatung-patong talaga," JC elaborated.
Other celebs who will join JC in the project include Aljur Abrenica, Edu Manzano, Ritz Azul, Tonton Gutierrez, Cong. Mikey Arroyo and Claudine Barretto.
JC de Vera was just among the celebs who got affected because of the shutdown of ABS-CBN. When the shut down was carried out, Regine Velasquez expressed strong words over it. She said that after everything, they will come back better and brighter.
After this, Kim Chiu became viral because of her "Bawal Lumabas." The singer-actress also expressed sympathy towards the younger actress.
