Sylvia Sanchez posted on Instagram about a piece of recent news that broke the hearts of many Filipinos.

KAMI learned that Sylvia paid tribute to ABS-CBN production manager Mavic Holgado-Oducayen, who died due to a heart attack after learning that she has lost her job.

Many Kapamilya employees lost their jobs after the network’s franchise renewal was rejected by the Congress.

Mavic was the production manager of teleseryes such as Moon of Desire, Halik, Be My Lady, and Pamilya Ko.

Sylvia posted their last photos together, taken on July 10, at a mass gathering regarding the ABS-CBN shutdown. According to the actress, this tragedy would not have happened if the network’s franchise renewal was not denied.

“Huling pagsasama at picture natin to @mavicoducayen noong july 10 araw ng botohan sa kongreso noong araw na igagrant o hindi ang franchise ng AbsCbn. Nagulat ka noong makita mo ako at ang sabi mo, Ibiang bat andito ka?
“DELIKADO sayo!Kakaopera mo lang at kakalabas mo lang ngayon sa hospital, tatlong beses mo ako pinipilit umuwi, sabi ko sayo ok lang Ms. Mavic, kaya ko ang sakit at panghihina ko na galing pa ako sa operasyon pwedeng mawala at makalimutan balang araw, pero ang sakit at konsensya na di ko nasuportahan at nasamahan ang pangalawang tahanan ko na naglapag ng pagkain sa pamilya ko ng 27yrs at di ko nasamahan ang mga Kapamilya ko sa araw ng desisyon ng kongreso ay di ko kakayaning dalhin habangbuhay.
“Ayaw kong pagsisihan yan!! Noong marinig mo yong rason ko, sabi mo lang ok Ibiang, pero uwi ka kagad ha, d mo ako tinantanan sa pagpapauwi, kulit kulit mo hahaha kulang nalang kargahin mo ako papuntang kotse ko, at sabi nating dalawa miss na miss na natin ang isat isa, sanay akong bago maglockdown magkasama tayo MWF sa taping ng Pamilyako, lagi tayong magkausap, nagtatawanan nagkukulitan usap about mga anak natin, bilang ikaw ang Production Manager ng Pamilyako. At sabi ko pa sayo Ms. Mavic bawal yakap at nagkatawanan nalang tayo hahaha
“Kung alam ko lang na yon na pala ang huling araw na makita kita, e niyakap na kita ng pagkahigpit higpit. After ilang araw isa ka na sa nasabihan na isa ka sa mareretrench. Ikinalungkot, ikinagalit, ikinasama ng loob mo ang ngyari sa ABSCBN at sa pagkawala bigla ng trabaho mo na iningatan at inalagaan mo sa mahigit dalawang dekada at isa ito sa naging dahilan kaya ka nawala sa piling namin.
“Ikaw ang sabi ng sabi uwi ka Biang kasi DELIKADO ka, yon pala ikaw ang DELIKADO Ms. Mavic. Ang sakit sakit ang lungkot lungkot.
“Hindi sana ngyari to kung pinairal lang sana ang kunsiderasyon para sa mga empleyadong katulad mo sa gitna ng pandemya. Sana No more pain Ms.Mavic pahinga ka na at pakidasal nyo na rin kami ni Tita Angge lahat kaming Kapamilya nyo dyan sa langit ang Pilipinas at ang buong Mundo. I love you @mavicoducayen Pakihalik mo na din pala ako kay TITA ANGGE ha. Rest in peace,” Sylvia posted on Instagram.

The ABS-CBN shutdown is one of the most controversial issues in the Philippines these days. Supporters of the network claim that the ABS-CBN is being unfairly targeted for political reasons.

Many famous stars have expressed their reaction to the closure of the Kapamilya network. Angel Locsin admitted to getting emotional over the decision against the network.

Anne Curtis also admitted to getting heartbroken over what happened to ABS-CBN. As for Vice Ganda, he walked out during the opening segment of “It’s Showtime” since he could not contain his emotions.
