Shocked may be an understatement for a consumer who received a P100,000 Maynilad water bill.
A report by Maki Pulido on "24 Oras" on Tuesday showed that consumer Dominic Songco received P100,427.48, just for one month, particularly from June 20 to July 20.
In a Facebook post, Dominic Songco posted the bill and exclaimed, "Ano ‘to Maynilad!!!?
Songco explained that since the lockdown was imposed, they only had to deal with at most P3,000 water bill. This already includes times when his children would be playing in their inflatable pool.
Zmel Grabillo, the spokesman for the water company, stated that they will be investigating the complaint and will be revising it upon seeing the actual consumption.
He also stressed that the complaint of Songco was an isolated case out of the 1.4 million consumers that they have.
