In an Instagram post, the actress said that she will finally address the issue after 30 years because she made a promise to her friend.
“Mahal kong kababayans, hindi ko gustong buhayin ang chismis; that is the farthest from my intention. Nais ko lng linawin ang mga naganap sa Robinson’s Galleria nun dalaga pa ako,” she said.
“I made promise to a dear friend - I said I would tell my side of the story this year at dahil 30 year anniversary na this month, it is NOW time,” she added.

The urban legend claimed that Robina Gokongwei has a twin that is half-snake and half-human. It said that the “taong ahas” was living in the basement under the dressing rooms of Robinson’s Galleria.
The “taong ahas” will then find a woman it likes and it would flip a switch so that the woman could drop through a hole. Alice Dixson was among those who allegedly survived the half-snake and half-human.
However, the urban legend also said that the actress was paid by the Gokongwei family to keep her silent about the controversy.
