Michael V. recently shared on social media about a hoax claiming that the comedian has already died.
The Kapuso star, also known as Bitoy, debunked the fake news and reminded his followers to be cautious in believing and spreading false claims.
It can be recalled that Bitoy announced on July 20 morning that he has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a video uploaded on his official YouTube channel on July 20, Bitoy likewise documented his experience being isolated until he found out that he is already a carrier of the deadly virus.
On the same day, the said hoax has then circulated on social media.

His fellow artists then reacted to the hoax. They also aired their get well wishes to the comedian.
“This is crazy.. praying for u Lodi,” Denise Laurel said.
His fellow Kapuso artist Chariz Solomon also poked fun at the fake news’ preview image, “Edward Cullen ka dyan tho.”
“Agad!!!! Get well soon @michaelbitoy ako din,” actress and host Ruby Rodriquez commented.
“Kuya @michaelbitoy getwell soon!” Kapuso hunk Rocco Nacino wrote.
“Praying for your fast recovery kuya @michaelbitoy!“ Kean Cipriano commented.
“Praying for you kuya Bitoy. Get well soon,” said Sheena Halili.
Michael V. is one of the most acclaimed male actors and comedians in the Philippines. In 2013, he won Best Comedy Actor at the prestigious PMPC Star Awards for Television.
He is among the prominent celebrities like Iza Calzado and Christopher de Leon who caught COVID-19.
It can also be recalled that earlier, Bitoy did not hesitate to mention the name of Matteo Guidicelli in his recent social media post about unboxing an expensive PlayStation 4 Pro.
