Jim Paredes recently aired his reaction to the fiery statement of Enchong Dee about celebrities who remain neutral amid the issues that ABS-CBN is facing.
KAMI learned that the latter straightforwardly addressed the issue on “neutrality” among his fellow artists through a Twitter post.
He stated the celebrities cannot say that they are neutral and yet they accept huge amounts of money during the campaign period.
"Let me [address] the argument of neutrality dear colleagues,” he wrote.
“I’m shining a light on your stand of neutrality with all due respect... you cannot say you are neutral and yet accept millions of pesos during a campaign period,” he added.
Jim’s name appeared in the comments section of Enchong’s much-talked-about post. He claimed that there is nothing wrong if artists admit that they are scared.
The prominent singer also mentioned that although some people like to stay afraid and helpless, there are individuals who are scared but still do what is necessary.
“There is nothing wrong if instead of invoking neutrality, they just say they are scared,” the veteran musician commented.
“EVERYONE is afraid. Some like to stay scared and helpless. Some feel the fear but do what they think they should regardless,” he added.
Jim Paredes is a prominent and seasoned singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He is best known for being one of the members of the APO Hiking Society.
He slammed GMA-7 a few months ago for giving a project to Senator Bong Revilla.
The said celebrity also received a message from Kris Aquino about the mistakes he committed in life.
