Jennylyn Mercado details her struggles in life after giving birth to her son

Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado shared the struggles she experienced after she gave birth to her son, Jazz.

KAMI learned that the actress admitted she lost everything as she entered motherhood.

In a series of tweets, Jennylyn detailed her past experiences. She recalled being jobless and going to America.

“Naranasan ko na rin ang mawalan ng lahat after giving birth to Jazz. Wala akong trabaho, kaya kahit 1 buwan pa lang siya,umalis ako papuntang Amerika,” she said.

She also revealed that she used to sing in different restaurants in America just to give money to her family in the Philippines.

“Kumanta kanta sa mga restaurant dun para may mapadalang pera para sa pamilya ko,” the Kapuso star said.

“Those experiences shaped the person that I am now,” she continued.

Jennylyn also shared that she was not given her salary in the States. Therefore, her manager fetched her and went back to the Philippines.

According to the actress, she will always be thankful to GMA Network for giving her a second chance.

“Niloko ako ng taong pinagkatiwalaan ko. Hindi nila ako swinelduhan. Kaya sinundo ako ng manager ko at bumalik kami dito,” she wrote.

“Tapos binigyan ako ng second chance ng GMA. And I tried (and am still trying) to make the most out of it. Kaya I will always be grateful sa kanila,” she added.

Jennylyn Mercado is a Filipina actress, singer, and songwriter. She is the winner of the first season of the reality talent competition “StarStruck.” She is currently in a relationship with actor Dennis Trillo, while she had a son with her previous partner, Patrick Garcia.
