Security guard holds East Ave. doctor hostage, pleads with cops, "Barilin mo na ako"

- A 51-year-old man held a doctor hostage at the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) because he wanted either the police or the guards to shoot him

- He said that he is so stressed with his personal problems and he just wanted the police to take him down

- The hostage-taker was a security guard who was rushed to the hospital because he had difficulty breathing but that he was already tired of his life

- EAMC revealed that they gave the man proper medical attention, and the hostage-taker later apologized and said that he had no plan to hurt the doctor

A 51-year-old security guard held a doctor hostage at the East Avenue Medical Center. According to the report of Nico Waje in "Stand for Truth," the hostage-taker snuck out of his house because of difficulty breathing, went to the hospital and was also given medical attention, except that he was so stressed with his life.

"Pagdating ko po kasi, ang unang sinabi niya agad sa’kin pagkabati ko sa kaniya na pulis ako, sabi niya, ‘Barilin mo na ako.’ ‘Yun lang po ang nabanggit niya," said Police Staff Sergeatn Bienvenido Ribaya III who responded to the situation.

The security guard was complaining about his problems in life, how he is so stressed, how he could not sleep nor breathe.

"Nagawa ko lang naman mang-hostage hindi upang manakit ng tao kundi upang patayin na ‘ko ng pulis para matapos na ang buhay ko. Gusto ko nang matapos buhay ‘ko. Pagod na pagod na ‘ko," said the 51-year-old.

When he was already subdued, he told the doctor that he did not have any plan to hurt him. He also said that he was sorry.

In another incident, involving crimes, police reports revealed that both Jang Lucero, the slain lady driver, and her girlfriend Meyah Amatorio know the suspects in the killing. One was identified as alias "Althea."

Police are requesting the remaining suspects to surrender. If they will not, authorities will be hunting them down. Jang Lucero became a part-time driver during the ECQ when she lost her job. She allegedly told her girlfriend that she would be picking up three passengers when the incident happened.

One of the suspects has already been arrested. She is Ann Shiela Belarmino.
