The tragic story of Jang Lucero, the woman found murdered inside her car in Laguna, continues to captivate the nation.

After GMA News reported that a woman named Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino was arrested as a suspect in the case, pictures and details about her surfaced online.

Based on a viral screenshot of her Facebook profile, Ann is a resident of Antipolo, Rizal.

According to a report by The Philippine Daily Inquirer (authored by Maricar Cinco), Anne was allegedly an “ ex-girlfriend” of Jang's partner Meyah Amatorio and was one of the last people seen with the victim as stated by the Calabarzon police.

Capt. Mary Ann Torres, Calabarzon public information office chief, told dzBB that Anne is being tagged as the mastermind of the crime.

“Siya ay naging suspect based dun sa mga CCTV footage, ganun din sa statement ng witnesses. Siya rin ang tinutukoy na mastermind sa case. In-e-establish pa rin yung motive,” she told dzBB, as reported by Consuelo Marquez of The Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Jang Lucero’s girlfriend, Meyah Amatorio, revealed that the victim told her that she would be transporting three passengers from Laguna to Gil Puyat, Manila.

When she could not contact Lucero anymore on her cellphone hours later, she decided to seek the police’s help. She added that she is not aware of any feud or conflict involving her girlfriend.

The PNP has announced that they already identified the persons of interest involving the case but that they are still trying to build a strong case against those people.
