A group of 239 experts from around the world wrote an open letter to the World Health Organization (WHO), highlighting evidence that coronavirus is airborne.

KAMI learned that the virus can be carried through the air via droplets, whether large or in aerosol form, and can infect people through mere breathing or when the air with the virus is inhaled.

As per the NYTimes report, the scientists hailed from 32 countries and they are urging the United Nations health agency to revise their COVID-19 recommendations.

If airborne transmission will play a significant role, then containment measures will be greatly impacted.

N95 masks would be needed to filter the tiniest droplets. Due to being airborne, masks may be needed to be worn indoors even with social physical distancing.
