KAMI learned that in a lengthy Instagram post, the actress said she is very grateful to be surrounded by so much nature.

“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you change the environment in which it grows; not the flower.” — Alexander Den Heijer So grateful to be surrounded by so much nature here in Bali. Seeing the lush greenery, looking up at clear blue skies, listening to the birds chirping and breathing in fresh air everyday make me feel so alive and so connected to God.
In everything, I see and feel Him. He is in all the living beings around us. He is within each and every one of us. Knowing this brings me peace and healing. I truly believe that in order for us to heal, we need to make sure that our environment can help us grow and thrive.

It is impossible for us to heal in a toxic and unhealthy environment. This is the reason why my husband and I decided to quit drinking alcohol and adopt a plant-based diet because whatever we eat and drink turns into our energy so we believe in consuming only cruelty-free products.
Our environment also consists of the people we surround ourselves with, the topics we discuss, the places we go to, the shows we watch, the books we read and the thoughts we choose to think. Healing is possible but only if we truly want it with all our hearts. Happy healing.”

Due to the pandemic, Maxene and her husband Rob Mananquil have been stuck in Indonesia. They were in Bali when lockdown measures were put in place, prompting them to extend their stay in the island.
