Sarah Geronimo's duet with Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez became even more special after they exchanged messages to one another on the stage.
Before their performance, KAMI learned that the two singers exchanged thank you messages to each other which prompted Sarah to become emotional afterwards.
According to Regine, Sarah is her "firstborn" in the entertainment industry, "Lagi ko nga sinasabi dito, 'Nako Sars, ikaw ang panganay kong anak.'"
After Regine shared how proud she is of Sarah's achievements and milestones in the industry, Sarah began to thank the veteran singer for helping her with her career.
“Maraming, maraming salamat po sa suporta at pagmamahal mula nung nanalo ako sa ‘Star For A Night’ hanggang sa magkasama po tayo dito sa ASAP,” she said.
Regine then assured Sarah that she will always be there for her, “Sars, forever na iyan. I will always be here for you no matter what. Hindi lang naman kasi ako ang nagmamahal sa iyo. Napakarami mo pang mga kapamilya at lahat nagmamahal sayo.
"Alam mo kung bakit? Kasi ang bait bait mo at you are such a wonderful lady with a golden heart so you deserve all the love that we give you. If I could give more, I would."
For their duet, Regine and Sarah sang On The Wings of Love and Forever's Not Enough.
