Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto announced on Wednesday that the local government was able to raise funds up to P1.2 billion to buy tablets and laptops for public school students and teachers.

KAMI learned about 2,500 students from the Pamantasang Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) will be given learning gadgets worth around P30 million.

In a report by the GMA News Online, Mayor Sotto urged the residents to still enrol their children amid the COVID-19 crisis to continue their education.

He also assured the parents that the learning devices will be provided by the local government all they have to do is to enroll.

Meanwhile, Mayor Sotto also made 100 contractual workers of Pasic City for over 20 years of service into regular employees.
