President Rodrigo Duterte announced during his Talk to the People Address on June 15 the statuses of different provinces in relation to the lockdown.

As per his pronouncements, Cebu City will revert to ECQ due to the rising number of new cases as well as the widespread transmission of COVID-19 in the community. In less than seven days, cases have doubled and there was a significant increase in the use of critical care facilities as against the critical care capacity.

One component city, Talisay City, was placed under MECQ for the same reasons. On the other hand, Metro Manila remains to be under GCQ.
