Lauren Young recently took to social media her honest thoughts about the controversial statement of Ben Tulfo on the long-standing issue of “victim-blaming.”

KAMI learned that the veteran broadcast-journalist said that women should be careful with the way they dress up because they might be “inviting” criminals.

He also mentioned that an offender is always ready to commit heinous crimes and he or she will wait for the perfect opportunity to do them.

Lauren did not hesitate to use her own experience in opposing the stand of Tulfo that women’s way of dressing up is a factor why they are being harassed.

She revealed that a guy suddenly harassed her in a bar even though she was wearing decent clothes and was sober at that time.

“It’s not about what you’re wearing – it’s the fact that he was disgusting and wanted to take advantage of me,” she wrote.

“No, I did not give him any signals to do that to me, I was not intoxicated - and even if I was - it doesn’t give him the right to do that,” she added.
