Heart Evangelista's father reveals real reason for not attending daughter's wedding with Chiz Escudero

Heart Evangelista and her father, Rey Ongpauco were recently part of Coca Cola's special video for the celebration of Father's Day.
In the video entitled, 'Heartfelt times with the family', KAMI learned that Heart and her father bonded together by cooking crispy pata while discussing all the good memories they have of one another.
Furthermore, the two also discussed the misunderstanding they had in the past and why Rey chose not to attend her daughter's wedding with Chiz Escudero back in 2015.

According to Heart's father, the only thing that they fought about was her love life, "Ang pinag-aawayan naman namin niyan eh yung boyfriend lang niya eh.
"Nung una ayaw ko, hindi tuloy ako napunta sa kasal niya. Pero pumunta din ako after five years."
He also revealed that he and Heart were fighting for three years, "Siguro, mga three years kaming nag-aaway nito, di kami nagkakausap."
Rey also added, "Kung ama ka, kung maari lang, sayo tumira yung mga bata habang buhay. Syempre, kapag anak mo na ang humingi sayo, hindi mo matatanggihan. Kahit nahihirapan ka, gagawin mo."
When they fought, Heart shared that she felt a void in her life and that she was lost as a person afterwards.
"Nung nag-away kami, I really felt a void in my life. It was so hard for me because having a solid family really matters to me so when I lost my family, I was lost as a person," she shared.
