Capt. Casey Gutierrez, a police doctor working of the Philippine National Police, has passed away on Saturday, May 30 at the age of 31 years old due to accidental inhalation of a disinfectant.
Following the news of his untimely death, KAMI learned that his wife, Shella Distor, who is also a health worker, has recently spoken up about his death in a lengthy online post on social media.
According to Shella, she could no longer tolerate the posts claiming her husband was positive for the coronavirus.
"Its traumatic for me, how much more for them. Pero I can't bear some of the post na COVID positive siya. HE IS NOT A COVID PATIENT," she wrote.

Shella also added that Gutierrez died due to negligence and incompetence.
"He died out of negligence and incompetence. I was there at the ER of PNPGH with him til the NEXT DAY when he was transferred to the lung center til he died on the 5th day," she said.
Furthermore, Shella revealed that another incident occurred with a medical staff a day after her husband's death.
"Namatay na siya naulit pa ulit sa ibang medical staff of the same facility, a day after he died! That adds more salt to the injury! Akala ko eye opener na sa inyo nangyari kay Casey, you did not learn," she wrote.
