Liza Soberano joined the list of Filipino celebrities who unhesitatingly voiced out their opposition to the controversial anti-terrorism bill.
KAMI learned that on June 1, President Rodrigo Duterte certified as urgent the bill that proposes a tougher law against terrorism in the country.
He asked the Congress to fast-track the passage of the said bill – a move that immediately alarmed some people, including prominent showbiz personalities.
Through social media, Liza expressed her strong opinion against the anti-terrorism bill that is already one step away from House’s final approval.
She posted an artcard that has the phrases, “Junk terror bill” and “Uphold human rights.”
The “Make It with You” star also appealed to the government to not take away people’s voices and their basic rights as humans.
“Please do not take away our voices our basic human rights!!!!” she wrote.
As of this writing, her post about the said bill has garnered more than 55 thousand likes and 11 thousand retweets.
