Solicitor General Jose Calida hits back at Kapamilya actor Coco Martin for his statement regarding the closure of the broadcasting company, ABS-CBN.
KAMI learned that Calida attended the joint committee hearing at the House of Representatives on Monday.
In a report by the Inquirer (authored by Daphne Galvez), Calida said that Martin seems to be calling for a “fight” and called the actor’s statement as “tantrums.”
“It appears that he feels he can solve the problems the same way as he solves them on screen, with macho bluster and bravado,” Calida said.
“If I had not been the Solicitor General, I would have called his bluff and make him eat his words,” he added.
Calida quoted the previous statement of Martin where the actor said: “Kapag ang pamilya ko kinanti, kahit sino ka pa, lalaban ako ng patayan sa iyo kahit patayin mo pa ako.”
“Maraming maraming salamat Solicitor General Jose Calida at sa bumubuo ng National Telecommunications Commission sa kontribusyon niyo sa ating bayan! Tinatarantado ninyo ang mga Pilipinas!” the actor added.
In a previous report by KAMI, Coco Martin sent a strong message as he continues to fight for his home network ABS-CBN.
Coco Martin is one of the famous actors in the Philippines. He is popularly known for his role as “Cardo Dalisay” in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
