Kim Atienza, commonly known as Kuya Kim, recently shared on social media a heartfelt letter he received from his son Jose who graduated from high school at International School Manila.
On his Instagram account, Kuya Kim posted a photo of the letter where he also penned a touching caption.
“I sliced onions. You made my day son. I am so proud of you. Fly as high as you can and if by chance you fall, papa and mama will always be here to catch you,” he told to his aspiring pilot son.
“I love you dearest @jhatienza You are a blessing to us and to all who come your way. ‘Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)’” he added.

Friday, May 29, was supposed to be Jose’s graduation day but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the schools to postpone commencement ceremonies indefinitely.
To celebrate his son’s achievement amid the pandemic, Kuya Kim and family organized their own graduation rite for Jose at home.

Kim Atienza, or Alejandro Ilagan Atienza in real life, is a Filipino host, weather journalist, and former politician who was born on January 6, 1967. He became part of the noontime show “It’s Showtime” but he eventually resigned.
