- Senate President Tito Sotto has just given Sen. Bato dela Rosa a subtle sanction
- Instead of staying at home during the senate sessions, he would now be required to physically appear at the hearing on June 1
- This came after Dela Rosa clearly stated "sarap ng buhay" when the senate session on Tuesday adjourned
- Aside from this, Dela Rosa added, "Ganito na lang tayo palagi ah"
Senate President Vicente Sotto III has given a directive to Sen. Rolando "Bato" dela Rosa to physically attend the June 1 senate session.
KAMI learned that the directive was also from the other senators who have been attending the sessions at the plenary of the senate. These other senators include Senators Francis Tolentino, Panfilo Lacson and Sherwin Gatchalian.
During the opening of the senate's Wednesday session, Sotto said, "We are hereby directing Senator Bato dela Rosa to attend the session on Monday physically, because he is already becoming very popular in social media. You can enjoy the birthday merienda of Senator Ping Lacson on Monday."
Dela Rosa then responded, "Will comply, Mr. President."
This came after the statement, "sarap ng buhay" of Dela Rosa became viral.
Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri even said in jest, "Tama 'yon, Mr President. Para statement 'nya pagkatapos would be, 'Mahirap na ang buhay kasi hanggang alas-diyes na siya sa Senado."
In a previous KAMI report, the senator gave his reaction to the birthday party celebration of NCRPO Chief Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas. Bato said that Sinas could have just distributed the food to every household for his celebration.
Sen. Bato dela Rosa is one of the neophyte senators. He is a retired police general and served as the Philippine National Police Chief prior to becoming a senator.
