On his GMA program “Wowowin,” Willie Revillame celebrated his fifth year as a Kapuso superstar.
KAMI learned that in the said episode, Willie recalled the time he transferred to GMA after working for ABS-CBN and TV5.
According to the comedian, he sees his transfer to the Kapuso network as a big blessing since it allows him to help many people throughout the nation.
His former network, ABS-CBN, got shut down by the NTC from broadcasting on TV and radio. As for TV5, it has been rebranded into The 5 Network and is now less focused on airing shows that feature big celebrities.
“Nakabalik akong muli ngayon dito sa GMA. That was May 10, 2015 noong nag-launch pero I think a month before noong nag-sign ako ng contract
“Kaya ko kinukuwento dahil sobrang blessed po akong tao. Sobrang napakasuwerte ko, sobra. Kaya ho siguro nandito ako, pareho may purpose. Para maging tulay, para ho maging instrumento para sa ating mga kababayan dahil diyan din ako nanggaling.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. Dahil kung hindi niyo naman sinuportahan ang programa namin, ang programang Wowowin, ako, wala naman ako dito eh at hindi naman ako ipag-stay ng GMA. Kaya ho kami nagre-rate dahil sa inyo. Kaya itong programang ito ginawa, para po sa inyong lahat. Kaya maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat po ng nagtiwala, sa lahat po ng nagmahal sa akin, sa lahat po ng nagtitiwala hanggang ngayon,” Willie said on “Wowowin.”

Willie Revillame is a host, singer, actor, comedian, and businessman. He owns the Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City with business partner Manny Villar. Before being a Kapuso star, his popular show “Wowowee” used to air on ABS-CBN.
