Sharon Cuneta's IG live became so emotional as the Megastar wasn't able to hold back the tears as she talked about the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
More than anything else, the primary concern of the Megastar was the tens of thousands of people who just lost their jobs.
"30 years na ako sa ABS-CBN and there are tens of thousands of employees who are gonna lose their jobs and I cannot take that..."
She also lamented the fact that the closure of the network came at a "wrong timing" because the country is in the midst of a health crisis.
"There's so much going on, yung COVID-19 na parang world war z, parang wrong timing kasi andaming natutulungan ng Sagip Kapamilya tapos yung staff namin mismo at crew, sila yung mawawalan ng trabaho."
"Yung mga staff at crew yung inaalala namin kasi hirap na nga dahil sa health crisis na ito, bakit naman damay pa yung trabaho."
So many people expressed their support to the Megastar. After prolonged pauses, trying to regain her composure, she finally asked a question.
"Can you imagine our country without ABS-CBN? I cannot."
