Lolit Solis was heavily criticized after she posted on Instagram that she felt lucky witnessing the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
The shutdown occurred after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ordered ABS-CBN to “cease and desist” from broadcasting on television and radio, just a day after its 25-year operating franchise expired.
KAMI learned that Lolit clarified what she meant when she said she felt lucky witnessing the said event.
According to the well-known entertainment reporter, what she was saying in her earlier post is that she felt lucky to have been alive during two historic moments and events – the shutting down of the Kapamilya network and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The talent manager said that she does not consider the shutdown and the pandemic as good things but historic events that could teach people a lot of positive lessons.
“History unfolding before your eyes Salve.
You feel the sadness na talagang teary eyed ka habang pinapanuod mo iyon sign off nila. You feel na parang something is pressing down your heart.
To be part of history unfolding before your eyes. Please be sensitive and understand the feeling of other people, magkaruon naman ng konting comprehension. Please,” Lolit posted on Instagram.
In a later post, she fired back against the netizens who bashed her and called her insensitive for her first post, saying that they should understand her point better before judging her.
In a previous report by KAMI, Lolit defended Jinggoy Estrada after he got arrested for violating certain COVID-19 quarantine protocols.
