The number of patients who have recovered from the novel coronavirus disease on May 4 was already the highest since the virus first hit the Philippines in January.
KAMI learned that there are 101 more patients who survived COVID-19, as announced today by the Department of Health (DOH) through social media.
The total number of recoveries in the country has climbed to 1,315 already.
The said single-day number of survivors was higher than the 90 and 40 that were recorded on Sunday and Saturday, respectively.
Meanwhile, the health department revealed that 262 people have recently contracted the dreadful virus.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines as of May 4 is already 9,485.
Of the said number of confirmed cases, 623 have succumbed to the virus, including the 16 new deaths tallied today.
The authorities are encouraging the public to stay at home and follow protocols so that hopefully no new cases will be recorded in the days to come.

The novel coronavirus has affected more than 200 countries and territories in the world. More than 3.5 million people have been infected already and thousands have already died.
