The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Sunday that the National Capital Region (NCR) is likely to ease to “general community quarantine” after May 15.

However, KAMI learned that some areas will still be under enhanced community quarantine due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

In a report by the GMA News Online (authored by Joviland Rita), DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said that based on all indications, it is suggested that Metro Manila could be relaxed after May 15.

“It looks like ga-graduate na ang Metro Manila sa May 15. By all indications, mukhang ga-graduate na tayo at mag-GCQ na tayo,” Malaya said.

As reported by the Philippine Star, the Inter-Agency Task Force is still considering the critical care infrastructure of hospitals and the case doubling time in the National Capital Region after the ECQ is lifted.
