- A video of a man seeking help from netizens has recently gone viral on social media

- According to the man, he and his family are only eating coconut flakes and calamansi because they don't have food to eat anymore

Aside from unemployment, one of the biggest issues people face nowadays is finding food to eat and provide for their family amid the ongoing lockdown.

It can be worth noting that on March 16, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the enhanced community quarantine to prevent and control the spread of coronavirus.

Following this news, Mayor Sara Duterte enforced the lockdown in Davao Region on April 4.

KAMI learned that a video of a man living in Davao City has recently gone viral on social media after asking help from the online community.

The video, which garnered over 1.2 million views, shows a man scraping coconut as he and his family no longer has rice or food to eat.

According to the man, "Manghihingi sana ako ng bigas dahil wala kaming bigas. Wala kaming masaing.

"Kumakayod na lang ako ng niyog para mayroon kaming pananghalian dahil sobrang gutom na. Maawa sana kayo sa amin, Ma'am, Sir."

The man could not help but cry as he asked for help in the video, "Niyog na lang ang aming kakainin.

"Kakainin namin ito dahil walang trabaho. Kung hindi kakayod ng niyog, hindi kami makakakain."

The man also revealed that they are eating calamansi alongside niyog as well due to having no rice to cook and eat.

As reported earlier by KAMI, supermarkets were allowed to operate under the ECQ as long as they followed the quarantine period as well as limiting the number of shoppers inside. A man who shouted at a security guard in a local grocery store has recently gone viral on social media.
