Teacher earns praises after visiting students’ homes to give them medals, certificates

- A Filipina teacher personally went to her students' homes to present their medals and certificates of recognition for the recent school year

- The teacher, named Lailane Abundio, is a Grade 5 adviser at Anonang Elementary School in Cordon, Isabela

- Teacher Lailane handled 29 students; ten of them received Academic Award while 13 got Conduct Award

- She also gave special recognition to parents, along with some snacks

A teacher in Isabela personally went to her students' houses to present their medals and certificates of recognition for the Academic Year 2019-2020.

In a Bombo Radyo Cauayan interview, the teacher from Brgy. Anonang, Cordon named Lailane Abundio shared that she considered giving her students special recognition because their Recognition Day was cancelled due to the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine.

The teacher and Grade 5 adviser at Anonang Elementary School also distributed worksheets along with the tokens.

The worksheets includes topics that are not discussed in their classes, following the proposal of Department of Education – Division of Isabela, to make the students’ days more productive while they stay at home.

Teacher Lailane handled 29 students in the recent school year. Ten of them received Academic Award while 13 got Conduct Award. She gave special recognition to parents as well, along with some snacks.

She also made sure that she observed safety measures like wearing a mask and social distancing.

Teacher Lailane then expressed gratitude to their school head and principal for supporting and allowing her to do the house-to-house distribution.

The teacher's heartwarming deed also gained a lot of praises on social media:

"Saludo kami sau Teacher Lailane Cabading Abundio ng Barangay Anonang."
"Ang bait bait ni Ma'am. Sana tayo din."
"Sana all."
