North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un resurfaces after weeks of speculation

- North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un was reportedly seen in public three weeks after speculation about his health made rounds online

- He reportedly attended an event to celebrate Labor Day and inaugurate a fertilizer plant

- Speculations about his health surfaced after missing the celebration of his grandfather's birthday on April 15

- Some news websites reported about his death and other media sites said he was in a "vegetative state"

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un was reportedly seen at a May Day celebration. According to a North Korean state-run media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim attended the inauguration of a fertilizer plant.

The news agency also reported that the leader expressed satisfaction about the wonderful creation. "When the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant goes into operation, it will represent a historical development in our country's fertilizer industry, it will be a glorious revolution and a splendid display of our nation's great economic potential, and it will be an uplifting banner that assures us of the achievements of our country's general economic frontline," said Kim as reported by KCNA.

Along with the report, KCNA released still photos of Kim at the ceremony. His sister Kim Yo-jong was also seen in the released photos.

Speculations about his health made rounds online after missing the celebration of his grandfather's birthday on April 15. He was last seen at a politburo meeting prior to the celebration according toKCNA.

Amid health rumors, Kim Jong Un reportedly sent 'thanks' to workers at the North Korean tourist zone.

Kim Jong Un is a North Korean politician who has been the supreme leader of North Korea since 2011 and leader of the Workers' Party of Korea since 2012. In 2009, reports suggested that Kim Jong-un was a diabetic and suffered from hypertension.
