The number of people who have recovered from the novel coronavirus disease in the Philippines is now more than one thousand.
KAMI learned that the updated statistics was released by the Department of Health (DOH) through social media.
Forty-eight more patients have recovered today, April 29, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,023.
The said number was a little bit higher than the 43 recoveries that were recorded by the health department yesterday.
It is also almost twice the total number of COVID-related fatalities in the country, which is now 558.
Meanwhile, it was announced that 254 more people have been infected with the virus. The overall confirmed cases as of today have reached 8,212.
