PH records highest number of new COVID-19 fatalities in more than 2 weeks

- The Department of Health released the latest statistics of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines

- It showed that the number of fatalities on April 29 was higher than what was recorded during the previous days

- The total number of deaths due to the said disease has climbed to 558

- Meanwhile, there are 254 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country

The Philippines has recorded on April 29 the highest number of novel coronavirus fatalities within a period of 17 days.

KAMI learned that the said information was based on the recent statistics released by the Department of Health (DOH).

There are 28 new deaths recorded today, bringing the total number to 558. It is already the highest single-day tally since April 12.

The said number is way higher than the 19 and 10 fatalities recorded on Monday and Sunday, respectively.

Meanwhile, there are 254 new cases of COVID-19 in the country on April 29. The total now is 8,212.
