The total number of confirmed novel coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines is now nearing the 8-thousand mark.
KAMI learned that there are additional 181 people who got infected with the said virus on April 28, according to the latest update of the Department of Health (DOH).
The total number of cases in the country is now 7,958.
Meanwhile, 43 patients have recovered from COVID-9 today, bringing the total number to 975.
When it comes to fatalities, the health department has tallied additional 19 deaths.
The COVID-19 death toll in the Philippines has climbed to 530.
The authorities continue to remind the public to follow quarantine protocols, especially in areas where the lockdown is extended.
