Derek Ramsay bravely lambasted online news site “Rappler” over its report on the viral foreigner in Dasmariñas Village who had a confrontation with the authorities.
KAMI learned that the famous actor was aware of the incident in the said area where a Spanish citizen resisted arrest after violating quarantine protocols.
Videos on social media show that the foreigner, who is reportedly “drunk,” cursed at the police and even ran inside his house to avoid being arrested.
Derek accused Rappler of promoting “bad journalism” for allegedly making it look like the law enforcers were on the wrong side.
He even stated that the said news site should have gathered all the details first before posting an article about the much-talked-about incident.
“Bad journalism!!!!! Stop making it seem that our soldiers and policemen are always the bad guys,” he wrote.
“Shouldn’t you get all the details and facts first before posting an article about the situation?” he added.
