Three residents of Albay province were arrested by the authorities on April 24 after they were caught gambling amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
KAMI learned that one of the said residents is a member of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) while the rest are beneficiaries of the social amelioration program (SAP).
Based on the recent report of TV Patrol – Bicol, the said ECQ violators were playing “tong-its” at Purok 1, Barangay 5, Malilipot, Albay.
They were nabbed after a concerned citizen informed the Malilipot Police Station (MPS) about the prohibited action of the said residents.
Seized from them were cash of different denominations amounting to 162 pesos and a deck of playing cards.
They were immediately brought to the police station for proper filing of cases.
