Due to the enhanced community quarantine that was approved by President Rodrigo Duterte on March 16, various checkpoints around the country have been placed.

Furthermore, public transportation has also been put to a stop in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

However, the loss of public transportation has proved to be a challenge for most health workers.

KAMI learned that one netizen took to social media to share his encounter with the MMDA authorities after trying to help his sister-in-law, who is a health worker, get to work.

In his online post, Michael shared that he told the authorities about his sister-in-law's case, "Pasensya na po sir from near Tungko Bulacan area wala pong dumadaang shuttle service.

"Kung meron man, bihira po at walang specific time para sa mga health workers kaya po nagagawa kong ihatid yung sister in law ko sa Q.C hospital."

However, despite his explanation, Michael was still given a violation ticket amounting to 5,000 PHP.

His sister-in-law was then asked to wait for MMDA's shuttle service, however, Michael revealed that the shuttle service did not stop for her after waiting for 30 minutes.

The traffic enforcer ended up allowing Michael to drive his sister-in-law to work afterwards. According to the traffic enforcer, "Sige isakay mo na lang muna siya tutal na ticketan ka na namin."

The said post elicited various reactions and comments from netizens on social media afterwards.
