Doctor shares his struggles in fighting COVID-19

- Many doctors and nurses have been infected by COVID-19 after serving as a frontliner

- One of the medical workers who has been struck with the coronavirus was Doc Ted Esguerra

- In his interview, Doc Ted recounted his experience with the virus

- He also revealed that his wife, who is a doctor, has recently tested positive for COVID-19 as well

The fight against coronavirus has struck many people, not just citizens but as well as frontliners in the medical field.

Among those who were infected were Teofredo "Doc Ted" Esguerra, a known survivalist who was trained in war medicine and disaster response.

KAMI learned that Doc Ted recently shared what he went through after testing positive for coronavirus.

In the video provided by ABS-CBN News, Doc Ted could be seen exercising despite his current condition to bring back his strength.

According to Doc Ted, his experience with COVID-19 was a tough one, "Parang dugo, parang lumapot ganun, na pwede na akong magkaroon ng stroke anytime.

"Ang COVID ay grabe yung tama sa katawan, hirap na hirap akong huminga dahil ang ubo ko ay walang katapusan."

Doc Ted also recounted what he thought of at one point, "Grabe minsan nga naisip ko parang mas masarap pa na namatay ka na lang kasi sobrang hirap."

He also underwent several swab tests to ensure that he was finally negative for COVID-19.

He then revealed that his wife, who is a doctor at a government hospital, has also tested positive for COVID-19.

As reported earlier by KAMI, a barangay chairman has recently buzzed the online community for the packs of relief goods she has provided in her sector. One netizen even called the relief goods as "Christmas-like food baskets" because of its content. Furthermore, the chairman herself even shared a photo of their barangay's "mahiwagang balde" online.
