- The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines has continued to rise
- The Department of Health recently announced that there are 102 new COVID-19 cases in the country
- They also released the number of new recoveries and deaths in their latest case bulletin
- As of this writing, there are more than 2 million confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide
The Department of Health (DOH) has recently posted their latest case bulletin for COVID-19 on a Saturday, April 25, at 4:00 PM.
In their latest case bulletin, KAMI learned that the DOH reported 102 new COVID-19 cases leading to a total number of 7,294 cases in the Philippines.
Furthermore, the DOH also reported 30 new recoveries. All in all, the Philippines now has 792 recoveries.
However, the Department of Health also reported 17 new deaths totalling up to 494 deaths in the country.
It can be worth noting that earlier this week, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the extension of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and other provinces until May 15, 2020.
The decision was made after the President held a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) in Malacañang.
As reported earlier by KAMI, the number of COVID-infected people in the Philippines continues to rise. According to the Department of Health, the total number has breached the 7-thousand mark.
