The world of the married 2020 is based on BBC One drama series Doctor Foster, starring Suranne Jones. The TV series is based on an interesting couple Ji Sun-woo (Kim Hee-ae) and Lee Tae-oh (Park Hae-Joon) who have the perfect marriage, only for their relationship to be truly tested.

The story begins with a demonstration of the perfect family where everything seems flawless. Having been married for a while, Ji Sun-Woo starts becoming suspicious of the husband that he is having an affair. This is triggered by the small incidences of the piece of hair and cherry lipstick.

Her suspicions drive her to snoop around her husband’s phone only to find several pictures of her husband with his lover Yeo Da Kyung. Other photos included the couple with their friends. Her first instinct was revenge with a pair of scissors.

Jin Sun-Woo finds herself in a weird position where she has to medically attend to her husband’s lover Yeo Da Kyung. During the appointment, she realizes that Yeo Da Kyung is pregnant. Jin Sun-Woo uses her friend Doctor Sul, to convey the pregnancy news to her husband.

Ji Sun-Woo seeks no other option other than divorce. Tae becomes more frustrated and takes advantage of the chance given by his lover Da Kyung, to patch things up. Ji Sun-Woo’s spy is exposed to Tae and Da Kyung, by her abusive boyfriend.

Ji Sun-Woo’s world turns upside down when her husband and the abusive boyfriend take their case to her boss. They want to show that she requires psychiatric help. This forces her to flee with her son. Tae encounters a heated argument with Ji Sun-Woo which results in a 2-year restraining order against Tae.
