The Department of Health (DOH) has reported only 9 new fatalities related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of April 21, at 4 p.m.
KAMI learned that the total number of fatalities has risen to 437 on Tuesday.
In a Facebook post of the DOH, there were 140 additional cases today, much lesser to those new cases reported this week.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines is now at 6,599. Meanwhile, there are also 41 new recoveries in the country, making a total of 654 COVID-19 survivors.
In a previous report by KAMI, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that President Rodrigo Duterte will be giving P10 million reward for anyone who can discover a vaccine against COVID-19.
The coronavirus disease or COVID-19 was first reported in Wuhan, China. As of posting time, there are over 2.4 million cases of COVID-19 across the globe.
