Quarantine violators run as they try to escape barangay officials

- However, despite the lockdown, some people can still be seen going out of their homes

- A post about a group of people getting caught by the barangay officials has gone viral online

- Furthermore, in the post, the group of people could be seen running away from the officials

To control the spread of COVID-19 due to its high infection rate, President Rodrigo Duterte announced back on March 16 that he has placed Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine.

The said quarantine was then extended until the end of April.

Following this news, KAMI learned that Rachel Pariscal, a nurse at Home Health Care, posted photos of a group of people escaping from barangay officials.

In the series of photos posted, the group of people can be seen running away from the officials after they were caught outside of their homes despite the lockdown.

Rachel also wrote in her post, "A rare photo of Filipinos participating in a traditional game called “PATINTERO” sa mga police."

In his previous televised speeches, President Duterte has reiterated the importance of staying home amid the pandemic in order to avoid getting the virus.

As reported earlier by KAMI, a netizen's post about a soldier who is currently a frontliner has recently gone viral on social media. In the video, the man could be seen unable to approach his family as he left them packs of goods and other essentials. The netizen also shared that the man traveled from Manila to Laguna just to provide for his family.
