Donations pour in for single-parent delivery guy who went viral online

A rider from a popular food delivery service has recently gone viral on social media because of a post from one of his customers.

KAMI learned that Andrew Cucal, an employee of GrabFood Philippines, became the talk of the town online after a teacher uploaded a photo of him while eating with his children.

It was stated in the much-talked-about post that the customer ordered extra chicken for the said hungry delivery guy who's been raising his two children alone.

“Tapos biglang may message ako sa Inbox ko nagsend si Kuya A ng picture nilang mag-aama followed by his selfie! Kahit nakamask, kita mo yung saya,” the customer wrote.

After the incident went viral online, Andrew graced an exclusive interview with KAMI to narrate how the said heartwarming moment has opened a lot of blessings for him.

He also opened up about how he and his children were able to treasure the moment where a stranger showed her generosity to his family.

The food rider mentioned that because of what happened, a lot of people have been contacting him for donations that are beneficial for him and his children.

“Pag-uwi ko ng bandang 6, sabi ko, ‘Okay na mga anak. Meron na tayong ulam.’ Tapos, na-realize ko na paano ko kaya mapapasalamatan si ma’am. Sinearch ko po sa Facebook yung pangalan niya tapos nag-personal message ako sa kanya…” he quipped.

“Maraming nagme-message sa akin tungkol sa gusto nila kong tulungan, kung paano sila makakatulong sa akin… Hindi ko inaakala na ganon pala yung pakiramdam ng maraming gustong tumulong sa’yo... May nagme-message sa akin na, ‘Sir, baka pwedeng dumaan kayo sa bahay? May ibibigay akong grocery at konting cash,’” he added.
