Mag-asawang nangungupahan lang noon, may magarbong bahay na ngayon

Dahil sa kanilang pagsusumikap at pag-iwas sa mga luho, nakapundar ang mag-asawang sina George Bedia Anas and Charmilyn Bandila-Anas o Chin ng kanilang magarbong bahay sa loob lamang ng ilang taon.
Sa kanilang website na georgechininspirations.com, ibinahagi ni George kung papaanong mula sa pagrerenta ay nakapagpatayo sila ng magarbong bahay para sa kanilang pamilya.
Kwento niya, hindi naging madali ang kanilang naging buhay ni Chin nang nag-uumpisa pa lamang sila bilang mag-asawa. Noong 2015, kinailangan muna nilang manirahan sa isang maliit na two-bedroom house na kanilang inupahan sa halagang P3,500 kada buwan.
“Five years ago, we rented a small two-bedroom house for Php3,500 (Left photo). That was the most we could afford since we just opened our small business in March 2015. In that same month and year, Chin gave birth to our daughter Gabbie. Our finances didn’t look good. We had to live within our means and prioritize the needs of our newborn baby and, the newly opened business,” ani George.
Ayon pa kay George, mapalad siya sa kanyang napangasawa dahil hindi umano ito maluho.
“I’m just lucky to have married a wife who doesn’t have a predilection over branded stuff, luxury handbags and shoes. Her happiness and simple joy is a trip to Ukay-ukay on a Sunday. Honestly, I consider it as one of the foundations of our success over the years.”
Dagdag pa ng mister, isang pastor na napadaan lamang sa kanilang inuupahan ang nagsabing balang araw ay magiging sa kanila ang tinitirahan nilang bahay at lalago rin ang kanilang maliit na negosyo.
“He declared that we’re gonna own the house (we were surprised coz nobody told him that we’re renting it) and our business will grow (Nobody told him that we had a small business).”
Taong 2016, sinabi ng nagmamay-ari ng kanilang inuupahan na ibebenta na nila ang bahay dahil maninirahan na sila sa Australia.
“They were in their early 50s (may-ari ng bahay). Chin was 22, while I was 25.”
“They told us they wanted to sell the house because they were migrating to Australia for good. At first, we felt a little uncomfortable. ‘Where are we gonna move?’ a silent question that popped in my head all of a sudden. We’ve felt so much at home for a year in this place,” saad ni George.
“But we were surprised when the husband said: ‘This is our first home and this is where we started to build our dreams. We want you to have this house’.”
Sagot umano ni George sa may-ari, “We would love to buy the house sir, but we don’t have the money to pay for it as of the moment.”
Subalit ngumiti raw sa kanila ang may-ari at sinabing, “Don’t worry, George and Chin, it’s payable when able”.
Makalipas ang dalawang taon ay nabayaran nila ang bahay. Lumago rin ang kanilang negosyo. Hanggang sa napatayuan nila ito ng bahay na may tatlong palapag at modernong disenyo.
“After a year, we renovated the dilapidated house and gave it a fresh and modern design. We eventually bought the vacant lot right beside it and in 2019, in faith, we built a 3-story, 200 sq.meters house with a sunset deck and jacuzzi.”
