- There are also 230 new COVID-19 cases reported, making a total of 5,453 cases nationwide
The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded more recoveries than fatalities as of April 15 (Wednesday) at 4 p.m.
KAMI learned that 58 more patients that recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This figure was the most number of patients that recovered in a day. As of posting time, there are a total of 353 patients who recovered.
Through a Facebook post, the DOH announced that there are 230 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
However, the health department also listed 14 more deaths related to COVID-19. The total fatalities is now at 349.
In a different Facebook post, DOH announced that the administrative order that aims to give special risk allowance for public health workers was already released.
The public health workers that directly cared for COVID-19 patients will be given a one-time special risk allowance that is up to 25% of their monthly basic pay.
As previously reported by KAMI, there are now more than 2 million cases of COVID-19 around the globe. There were over 126,700 deaths and more than 484,800 recoveries reported.
