A post of a teacher went viral on social media because of her kind heart to help the frontliners during the COVID-19 crisis.
KAMI learned that a netizen named Cha Calubaquib shared her experience when she ordered using GrabFood.
Through a Facebook post, the teacher said that she decided to order food online and have it delivered to her house amid the enhanced community quarantine.
However, she ordered extra food she could give to the GrabFood rider who will deliver her food and to the frontliners in the building where she lives.
“Today, out of all the other days, I’ve decided to have food delivered for the second time in this quarantine. Hindi ko kasi kaya yung hiya ko na magpapadeliver ako when all these frontliners are also risking their lives just to deliver food,” she said.
“So, naisip ko, kung magpapadeliver ako, gusto ko mapapakain ko din yung magdedeliver the same ng oorder ko,” she added.
The GrabFood rider was happy because he could bring home food and eat with his kids. To express his gratitude, he messaged the netizen on Facebook to say “thank you.”
The rider shared that he is a single father to his two kids. Therefore, the food was indeed a great help to him and his children. He also sent photos to show that they were enjoying their meal.
“Gud pm, mam. Ako po ‘yung kanina [na] Grab rider. Salamat po ulit sa binigay niyo,” he said.
“Single parent po kasi ako kaya malaking tulong po talaga. Maraming maraming salamat po,” he added.
The netizens were also touched by the kind gesture of the teacher to the GrabFood rider. Here are some of their comments on the Facebook post:
