Another medical frontliner from a hospital in Mandaluyong has passed away because of the dreadful novel coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
KAMI learned that Manny Pacheco, the chief nurse of the Mandaluyong City Medical Center (MCMC), breathed his last air on Wednesday, April 8.
The said hospital confirmed the sad information through a statement sent to INQUIRER.net on April 9.
MCMC Administrator Cesar Tutaan explained that the chief nurse was very dedicated to his work and was loved by his colleagues.
Pacheco died at the age of 62.
In a previous article by KAMI, Dr. Leandro Resurreccion III, a frontliner at the Philippine Children's Medical Center, also passed away due to COVID-19.
The novel coronavirus continues to affect people, including those who serve on the frontlines. The Philippines has recorded at least 12 doctors who died of the disease.
